Today is my favorite nephew Beau’s first birthday! Happy Birthday Beau Beau!
So glad Tyler had a built-in best friend. They’re going to have so much fun together… I guess they already do. Time for a montage!
Now some food pics. Started off my Monday morning with a passion fruit Chobani and a whole wheat English muffin with peanut butter and low sugar strawberry jam.
We were out of spinach so I couldn’t do my usual taco salad. So instead I made some quick nachos with blue corn tortilla chips, shredded cheddar jack cheese and taco meat. I topped with plain Chobani and Margaritaville salsa.
Supper was every man/woman for his/her self. I chose to get rid of the hard boiled eggs in the fridge. I mashed up 3 eggs with 2 tablespoons of light Miracle Whip and some sliced green olives. I didn’t feel like adding carbs, so I just ate it plain. It was good enough.
Today Tyler had us up a tad early- 5:45. So I had plenty of time to make some scrambled eggs. Really trying to get through this batch of eggs so we can get some new farm fresh eggs. I scrambled 4 eggs and one egg white and added hot pepper cheese. Hubby and I split the eggs, here’s my portion.
I didn’t have a real lunch today, just some leftover rice and beans from Sunday and then an hour or two later I had a couple pieces of extra sharp cheddar cheese and some oven roasted turkey.
Today was Tyler’s Kindermusik class at the Meadows. He took a nap before class today, so he was a little happier. I wish I had my camera because I think he made one man’s day. We try to get the babies to interact with the seniors, so I partnered up with one man who held Tyler for awhile while we sang one song. Tyler must have gotten attached, because he went up to him several times to wave. Then when we were all sitting in a circle, he just gets up from my lap, goes to pick up a book, and takes it to the same man and holds up his arms like he wants to be picked up and read to. Think it melted everyone’s heart, including the older gentleman. 
After working this afternoon, we took a family walk to the grocery store to get some spinach and bananas. And of course we managed to find a bunch of other things that we didn’t set out to get. Oh well.
Hubby got another huge steak that was awesome (he was generous and shared a couple bites) and I got a jalapeno and pepper jack cheese stuffed chicken breast. We had some steamed broccoli on the side. Yummers.
I forgot to mention that yesterday I cut up my first decent watermelon of the season. I’ve only had two other ones, and they were absolutely awful and I was pissed that I spent money on them. This one was good, and where did I get it from? Walmart. Go figure.
Here’s a shot of our little grumpy butt yesterday because he didn’t want to go to daycare. I guess most of the kids usually have a somewhat rough Monday morning (or maybe that’s just what they tell us to make us feel better).
Going to sleep now… nighty night!
I can tell you I meet you guys leaving the daycare by McDowells and by the time I got in there he was happy, smiling, and had totally forgotten about being upset. It is pretty common, just like we don’t like to go back to work on Monday’s. It wasn’t a line to make you feel better. Oh, I also told him he could come play in the sprinkler with Ms. Emmalyn some time hehehe
